What's Included With Your Kitten?
Each Tatertot Maine Coon kitten goes home with thoughtful care and preparation to ensure a smooth transition into their new family. Every kitten includes:
- Health guarantee covering congenital defects
- Age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming
- Microchip
- One month of Trupanion pet insurance
- NuVet supplements
- Soft-sided carrier
- Toys and enrichment items
- Additional go-home goodies
- Baggie of food your kitten is currently eating
Our goal is to set both kitten and family up for long-term success, comfort, and confidence from day one.
Are your kittens spayed or neutered before going home?
The short answer is no.
The long answer is that research has shown early spay and neuter can increase the risk of long-term health issues in large and giant breed cats, including Maine Coons. These concerns can include impacts on growth, joint development, and overall physical maturity.
At Tatertot Maine Coons, our goal is to set our kittens up for the healthiest future possible. For that reason, our contract requires that all pet kittens be spayed or neutered by 8 months of age. This allows kittens adequate time to grow, mature, and develop properly before undergoing surgery.
A spay/neuter clause is included in our contract, and compliance is required (you won't receive your kittens registration until proof of spay/neuter has been given). This policy protects both the kitten and the integrity of our breeding program while prioritizing long-term health and wellbeing. Not every animal produced is breeding quality.

Tango is the quiet observer, the thoughtful soul who takes the world in at his own pace. Through everything this journey brough us, Tango stayed steady and gentle, finding his footing in his own time. His beauty is undeniable, but it's his quiet strength and sweetness that truly set him apart. There is a softness to him that draws you in, a calm presence that speaks volumes without ever needing to be loud. Tango reminds me that not all stars shine the same way - some glow softly, steadily, and with incredible depth. i am just as proud of him as his brother, and watching him grow into who he's meant to be has been an absolute privilege.
Those who Stayed
It's been a rocky and emotional beginning for our Veterans Day litter. We experienced losses that cut deeply into our hearts, and we fought with everything we had to keep tiny life moving forward. Sometimes, despite love, sleepless nights, and tireless effort, the outcome is simply not what we pray for. We want to take a moment to honor the little souls who were with us only briefly. They were loved fiercely, protected tenderly, and will always be remembered. Some kittens are only here to teach us lessons and humility, strength, and how deeply we are capable of loving.We are incredibly grateful that our two remaining kittens are doing well and finally beginning to truly thrive. Both are blue smoke males - Maverick (polydactyl) and Tango. After such a fragile start, watching them grow stronger each day has been a quiet reminder of resilience and hope.Once their first veterinary visit is complete, Maverick and Tango will be offered for reserve (first exam was completed Dec. 23, 2025).
